Lions, Indians and Buzz Lightyear- Halloween Part 2!

On Halloween morning the kids and I went to a pumpkin patch with some of our friends from the ward. The pumpkin patch had a huge yard with a gigantic boat and swing set and many other toys in the yard for the kids to play with. The kids were able to ride on the tractor to the pumpkin patch and pick out a pumpkin.

Hyrum was fascinated by it all . He loved riding on the tractor and took in every little thing. Ben and Emmy were a little nervous at first, but soon warmed up. However, both stayed very close to mom during the ride. When the ride was over Ben didn't want to get off the tractor.

They also had a four wheeler that pulled some painted water barrels around that the kids got to ride in(the owners called it a train). The kids had such great time at the pumpkin patch. I think we will probably go back next year.

During the afternoon, Hyrum and I played Don't Eat the Monster during the twins' nap. He loves that game. I love playing games with him.
Halloween night we went to the ward Trunk-or-Treat and really enjoyed ourselves. Hyrum went as Buzz Light Year, Emmy as an Indian Princess and Ben as a lion.
Ben and Emmy were a little nervous about all the costumes. The ward had some fun booths for the kids to do. One of the booth was apple bobbing. Hyrum really wanted to do this booth, but lost his courage. As a result, Brandon stepped up to the plate and took one for the team. The boys were fascinated as they watched Brandon bob for apples. Ben was in heaven walked around eating the apple that his dad fought so hard to obtain. Another booth Hyrum really liked was the young men's booth, which was shooting Nerf arrows at a person. Hyrum and Emmy did the cake walk together and had a great time. Their number was even called. Ben got a little nose and whiskers painted on his face to match his costume. He looked adorable!
The kids marched around the gym with Brandon during the costume parade.
Hyrum didn't need any reminders this year about how to trunk-or treat. He just took off and enjoyed every minute. Below is a picture of him and his friend Macey doing a silly face picture.Ben and Emily were a little nervous, but once they realized they were getting candy they went nuts. It was fun doing trunk-or -treating with them. After they would get a treat from someone they would sit there and wait for more. They were content to move on when they realized that the next car would have candy too. Also, when they were given a candy, they wanted me to open it right then for them to eat. You could find them at almost any given moment that night with candy in their little hands.
After the trunk-or-treat we went trick-or-treating by our house with some of our good friends Val and Stephanie and their kids. Aleece and Hyrum enjoyed running from house to house to get candy. They loved being with each other and would hold hands and run/walk everywhere together. One of the houses that the kids went trick-or-treating at lived a sweet old lady. She had a dog that was by the door when she answered the door. Ben went nuts. He couldn't get enough of the dog and kept yelling dog, dog and would giggle and laugh. We literally had to pull him away from the door. Also, at both trunk-or -treat and trick-or -treating, Ben would go up to people and give them a big roar with a huge smile on his face! So cute!

Emmy was a beautiful little Indian princess. I had a few random strangers stop and tell me how beautiful she was that night. I think the costumes scared her quite a bit, I ended up holding her for a good portion of the night. We had such a great time! It was a perfect night.

Your kids look so cute and happy in their costumes. Looks like a blast. How fun for you all!
BTW I had a dream the other night that you and your mom and kids came to my house (which was a different house) and gathered, sorted and started all my laundry. You even had new organizer bins for the massive amounts of laundry. I was so appreciative.

What a good Dad, bobbing for apples is the worst. Loved the kiddos all dressed up. It's so fun.
