To Colorado we go...

Well, I am being very daring and going to Colorado this weekend to visit my grandparents with my mom, without Brandon and with all the kids. It should be interesting. This is the longest ride in the car ever for the kids (even Hyrum). I am excited! I can't remember the last time I went on a vacation.

Snow Day Excitment!

Who would have thought that after two weeks of gorgeous weather we would have a crazy winter storm. Instead of going outside today Hyrum and I made chocolate chip cookies and had a blast! He loved it! He helped me measure the ingredients, pour them in the bowl and mix them together. He also helped with putting the dough on the cookie sheets for baking (don't worry, we used hand sanitizer to make sure his hands were nice and clean during the procedure). We had so much fun!

Below are some recent pictures of the babies. They are growing up so fast. They have the cutest little giggles and love to be held and loved. They have been grabing at toys and love to watch Hyrum as he runs around. I am so lucky to have three great kids in my life.

I think this picture is adorable! I should have rotated it, sorry.

It is little Emi hanging on to Ben.

Hyrum loves...

Hyrum is such a fun boy to have. I decided to name off some of the things that he loves (in no patricular order). Some of the pictures are old, but I couldn't resist.

1. He loves water. He loves taking baths; espescially since we have Nemo and Thomas the Train bubbles. He will sit in the tub and play and play with his bath toys.
It was the elephants turn to have a picture taken.
2. He loves his "Papa" in other words, his grandpa. He loves to wrestle with him and play with him. Any time there is a noise at the door we have to open it up and see if his Papa is there. He also loves his grandma as well and loves when she comes to visit.

3. He loves to be outside and play. He really enjoys going down the slide and playing with the sand.
4. He loves to color. He is quite the artist. He also enjoys painting and even decided to taste it the last time...yuk!
5. He loves his friends Brian and Emily. He thinks they are the best! They did the cutest post about him on their blog about him wearing their sunglasses. You can find it here.

6. He loves to read books especially at bed time with momma.
7. He loves to play with his friend Lyman. They are best friends! They love to ride bikes together and race the toy trucks around the play yard.

8. Hyrum loves trucks, buses, cars etc.! He loves watching the garbage truck when it comes to pick up are trash. Any time a vehicle passes by he stops what he is doing to watch it until it disappears from sight.

9. Hyrum loves to sing and dance. He loves singing Wheels on the Bus and Head Shoulders Knees and Toes. Also, anytime there is music on he is always telling his momma to dance. He is such a cute little dancer. He also loves to run and runs everywhere

10. He loves Ben and Emily! He is such a great big brother and tries to help mom take really good care of them.
11. Hyrum loves Uncle Sean and Aunt Camille or Millie in Hyrum's words. He loves playing with them and when they come to visit.

12. Hyrum loves his Aunt Lorri, Uncle Dwight, Carson, Hannah and Natalie. He is always asking for them to come and play with him. He is lucky to have such great cousins as well as an Aunt and Uncle who love him so much!

13. Hyrum loves his daddy! They love to wrestle and play together with the toys!
Right before they went sledding

We are lucky to have such a great boy in our life. He is my sweetheart and I love him so much!

Yep, We still love to cuddle

The babies still love being close to each other. The other night I put them down pretty far apart in the crib and when I went to check on them they were cuddled close together. They are really good babies. People have asked how they have been sleeping and they sleep great! They go down between 7:00-7:30 at night and wake up at 7:00-7:30 in the morning. They have been doing this since about Janurary. I have really enjoyed the extra sleep. They take a nap in the morning for about an hour and half and a nap in the afternoon for about two hours. I am very lucky.

Heard from the first School...

We heard from the first school today and we have an interview! We are so excited! The school is Southern College of Optometry located in Memphis, Tennesse. Brandon is supposed to fly out on either the 23rd or 30th of March or even the 6th of April for an interview. While he is there he will check out the school, talk about financial aid, housing etc. We know we shouldn't count our chickens before they are hatched. However, we can't help it we are so excited and I am so proud of him. Brandon has worked really hard for this. Please keep your fingers crossed for us and prayers would be nice as well.

A Night of Dancing

For those of you who don't know, I love ballroom dancing. I danced on my high school team and loved it. I competed a few times and really enjoyed it. I wasn't amazing, but I enjoyed it. This last weekend was the national ballroom competition held at BYU. My dear hubby, got him and I tickets and went to it with me. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a lot of fun. I got to see old teammates and friends compete and even win. It was great; especially having Brandon there(even though he doesn't enjoy ballroom dancing as much as I do).

Adventures of Babysitting

Last Friday was ward temple night. Our good friends, the Ames, volunteered their babysitting services since they went went to the temple a couple of nights before. Well, Brian came prepared to play with Hyrum since he knows how Hyrum likes to wrestle. Below is a picture of Hyrum with Brian. I think Brian looks a lot like Mike for Monsters Inc. when Mike gets all decked out to handle Boo...What do you think.

Brandon was my next victim

As you may remember from a previous post I learned how to cut hair. Recently, I bought a pair of clippers in hopes that I might be able to continuing cutting the hair of the men in my little family. Well, today I cut Brandon's hair. Below is the end result...

Not too bad I might add. I did go up a little high in the back, but still it turned out okay. Isn't Brandon such a cutie?

Life Expectancy

On my twin site that I visit, someone posted a link to a page were you are asked a series of questions and it gives you your life expectancy. You can find the page here.

My expectancy came to 87 years. They recommended cutting down hours I am at work, but I am not sure how to do that since they consider parenthood a full-time job (I do as well).

4 Month Appointment

The babies had their 4 month appointment a couple of weeks ago. Their doctor is really pleased with how they are doing.

Drumroll Please....

The princess 11 lbs 70z

Mr. Ben 13 lbs 6 1/2 oz

For their actual age, Em made the charts! She is now between the 3rd and 5th percentile. She is such a light little thing; completely different from her brothers. Ben is starting to get a little chunky! He is in the 25th percentile. For their adjusted age (which the doc uses), Em came in at the 25th percentile and the 75th percentile for Ben. They are still a little small for their age, but have awhile to catch up. It was a sad day though, five shots each! It broke my heart! We suffered the side effects for a week of cranky babies and fevers. They now are fighting a cold. Below are some recent favorite pictures.

I think that this picture is so funny as well as adorable.

There were four in the tent...

Hyrum got an Elmo tent for his birthday and he loves it. I set it up for him to play in on Friday. He put his little chair in the tent and sat on it. Then he asked for Emily, so we then got the Bumbo chair for her to sit in. Next, he asked for mommy and Ben to come in. This is the way Brandon found us when he came home from school...
