Pre-School!

Some ladies and I in my ward decided that we would do a pre-school together. What happens is that pre-school is every Friday and we rotate who's house the pre-school is at and who is teaching. There are four kids and three parents so it works out really nice. I started off last week by teaching the letter 'A' and today Hyrum is learning about the letter 'B'. He was so excited to go to pre-school today with his friends. He also thought he was pretty cool wearing his Elmo back-pack. He looked so cute I couldn't help taking pictures of him!

SCO Homecoming!

Brandon's school celebrated their homecoming the weekend before last. We had an amazing time! Besides the free beer, they had a great BBQ, a balloon man, face painter, and jumping house and many other events for the students and their families. We really enjoyed ourselves! We loved getting together with other students and socializing.

Hyrum loved being around all the kids! He thought the balloon man was amazing! Out of all the many things he could have asked the man to make what does he ask for, a blue dog.
Dad and Hyrum enjoying the BBQ with the blue dog!
Hyrum thought it was so cool to get his face painted! He got the stars done first on his arm and then asked to go and get some more. He saw a girl before us get one on her cheek so Hyrum asked to get a blue fish on his cheek. He also had fun shooting the basketball and dancing with mom.
The babies once again were content to sit, watch, and enjoy all of the excitment!
Emmy was such a silly baby when I was trying to take her pictures. She was smiling and ready to have her picture taken as soon as I had the camera out. So cute!
It was a great night!

New Fashion Statement!

These are the pictures of how I found Emily this morning. I don't know how she got her clothes half way off and twisted around, but she did. At least I caught her before she took off her diaper; which she is a pro at!

Army Crawlers!

The last couple of weeks the babies have been working on the art of army crawling. They are sure starting to move fast; especially Emily. Here is a video so all of you can see how cute they are when they crawl!

Our New Purchases!

As many of you know when it is meal time for the babies we feed them in their bumbo chairs. The chairs have been perfect; portable, easy to clean, easy to feed etc. However, since the babies are getting older and really starting to self-feed we decided that it was time for high chairs. Below are the babies in their new chairs.

Just a side note, I recently started feeding the babies yougurt and they have loved it!

EXTRA, EXTRA!!

Read all about it, Hyrum is potty trained and we want to shout it!! Horray! Words can not express how excited we are for Hyrum to be potty trained. He actually has been potty trained for a few weeks now and he has done fantastic! We are so proud of him!

He likes to make sure that when he looks at something, read stories, etc. that there is a daddy, mommy and a baby. In fact, when he goes to the potty he names them a daddy, a mommy and a baby based on the size.

More about Handsome Hyrum:

He loves to do puzzles

He loves to read books; especially about Fish, Sharks, and Cars,

He loves to play with his cars

He loves to count. He can identify two letters A and H. We are working on the rest. However, he does know how to cheer for the Cougars. He says "B. Y. U. Cougars! Roar!" He also knows how to spell his name "H-y-r-u-m."

He loves to run and dance

He loves to sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Popcorn Popping, and I am a Child of God

He loves to tell us "Not today" if he doesn't want to do something

He loves checking the mail box to see if he got something in the mail

He loves to wrestle with dad
He loves to play with kidsHe loves to play with Ben and Emmy
He loves marhmellows and candy corn

He loves to say prayers; especially by himself. If I try to help him I usually get a, "shh! My turn!" Also during his prayers he likes to make sure everything and everyone is said and if we leave something out we have to say another prayer.
He is such a sweetheart who loves to have his picture taken and we love him!

Our Newest Member

We offically have a new member of our family. His name is Hyrum J. T., the Polar Bear. Today Hyrum and I made sack puppets. Since Hyrum has been in love with Polar Bears since the zoo I found a copy of a polar bear sack puppet on the internet for us to make. He thought it was so much fun and really enjoyed himself. When Hyrum made the puppet talk, he had the puppet say my name is Hyrum J. T. Below is a picture of our two Hyrums.

Optometry School!

Brandon has offically started optometry school today. He went to orientation the last few days of the week last week. The school had some fun activities to start off the school year.

On Thursday last week we went to the Memphis Redbirds game. Surprisngly, the kids did pretty well. We lasted until the sixth inning of a game that started at 7:00 (the twins' bedtime). Hyrum was pretty fascinated with it for a few mintues, but he became more interested in the giant red bird mascot. Before we left the game, we took him to go see the mascot. You could tell he wanted to see the bird, but definetly wanted to keep a safe distance. Hyrum also had a fun time going down the huge blow-up slide before we left the game. It was fun to meet a whole little group of first year LDS students and their wives. A couple of them even had a kid or two so that will be fun to set-up some play groups.

Brandon and I also were able to go to a picnic last Saturday with the optometry students. Brandon's parents were intown so it was nice to be able to have a date of some sort. It was also nice to get to know some other students Brandon will be going to school with better.
We are excited for this new adventure. Below is a picture of Brandon on the first day of orienation.
