The Stylin' Boy

At Enrichment on Saturday they taught us how to cut hair. I took Hyrum to practice on. It was cute, the activity was at the Church, and Hyrum knew asked if we were going to Church before we got there (all right he said Church?). I am glad that he recognizes that we go to Church and the building. Anyways,Hyrum sat still very well. I am hoping to continue cuting his hair as well as Brandon's and Ben's. I think it turned out okay (I had help). Below is the result...

Family Fun!

The weather has been so nice lately that we decided to take a walk together as a family; the babies' first. Ben slept the whole time and Emily was wide awake. Hyrum talked to us the whole time about what he was seeing. We looked like a train of babies with the babies' in their double stroller and Hyrum in his.We had such a fun time and ended the walk at a local bakery to get some "yummies."

Another fun thing we did was have a picnic in our front room on the floor. We had your typical picnic food and watched Open Season together as a family. Hyrum loved it!

Baby Pictures From January

Here are the pictures that we took of the babies at JCPenny in January. On Martin Luther King Day to be exact. They did such a great job! The babies were almost 3 month old.

Valentine's Presents

Happy belated Valentine's Day to everyone. Nothing really exciting here happened on Valentine's Day. As a tradition, (started from the time I was little) usually we have a nice candle lit dinner with round steak at my parents house, but my brother was sick with the flu, so they brought it over to our house. Also as a tradition, my dad gets all the kids balloons and flowers for the girls. The kids really enjoyed their presents. Ben and Emily got two new rattles from Brandon and I, a Baby Einstein Video from Grandma and Grandpa Broderick. Hyrum got the Doc and Sally from the movie Cars from Brandon and I as well as a Little Einstein DVD and coloring book from Grandma and Granpa Broderick.

Ben and Emily love the balloons! The two of them just sit there and stare or watch as Hyrum runs through the house holding on to the balloons. Hyrum loves Little Einsteins so this movie and coloring book was a big hit! He also loves his Cars and has been playing with them almost constantly.

Brandon and I are going to the Stake Valentine's Dance tonight for our V-day celebration. We are really looking forward to it. We have gone the pass two years and have really enjoyed it.

My three silly kids (yes, Hyrum's hair is wild, I am learning how to
cut his hair tommorrow at Enrichment. I am really excited, hopefully it will go well).

Hyrum's new favorite hidding place!

Hyrum has found a new place to hide. It is in the dryer! What a silly boy! I started to fold some laundry that was in the dryer, left for a minute to take care of one of the babies, came back and there he was. I have no idea where he got the idea (I really wonder sometimes what he is thinking). It was so cute, I had to get a picture!

Emily and her bows!

I have recently been able to figure out how to keep the bows in Emily's hair. As a result, I have been putting a bow in her hair almost every day. Hyrum has noticed these bows and likes them. When he first saw them, he wanted both Ben and Emily to wear them. Hyrum and I have been having discussions why Emily gets to wear the bows, but Ben doesn't. I am not sure if it is really clicking, since for the most part he refers to both of them as Ben (he has just started to call her his version of the name Emily). Any time he sees a bow, he tries to put it in her hair. One time, he found the bottle of bows that the NICU gave me for her and as a result...see pictures below.

Look What We Can Do!

Ben and Emily have been smiling like crazy the past two weeks. They have such cute smiles. Ben's smile is more spontaneous. Emily has dimples up by her nose, they are so adorable. I love being able to see how excited they are when they see me and I love listening to them coo as they are trying to talk to me. Did I mention, I love these babies!

Hyrum Loves Water

Hyrum loves to play in the water. If he had his way, he would play in the water all day. His new thing that he does is pushes his toy over to the sink and plays with the water and the dishes in the sink. I caught him in the act and took some pictures. Now instead of playing in the kitchen sink with the dishes, I let tiny amount of water run in the bathroom sink and he plays with his own little dishes.

By the way, he is in his beloved rocket pajamas. His favorite show is Little Einstein's and in that show they drive around in a rocket and go explore. He loves it and therefore, the pajamas!
FYI: There is a post that I did today, but I started it awhile ago and I finally finished it. Here is the link since it ended up halfway down the page.

The Great Big Brother!

Hyrum is such a great big brother. You can tell that he really does love Ben and Emily. He is always asking to hold them (even though he only wants to hold them for a couple seconds), tries to feed them their bottles and give them their binkies. When they cry, he gets this concerned look on his face and asks, "what's wrong." In fact, this morning, I woke up to Hyrum talking on the monitor. Hyrum climbed into Ben's crib (they have been seperated since they have been sick) and was sitting there talking to him.

Hyrum and his Toys

Hyrum got so many new toys for Christmas. Some of his favorites include Thomas the Train set and his yellow bulldozer. He loves them, but why would he not, some of his favorite things are trains and trucks.Hyrum likes to put his finger down on the track and see if he can have the train run in to it. After the train hits his finger, he just laughs and laughs.

Here Hyrum is playing with his bulldozer that even makes noise!

Cuddle Buddies!

Ben and Emily love to cuddle up. They seem to draw a lot of comfort if the other is close by.

We've gotten so big!

Ben and Emily have grown so much lately. At their last weight check they came in at 9 lbs 13 ozf for Emily and 12 lbs 5 oz for Ben. We decided to take pictures of them in the clothes that they came home from the hospital so everyone can see the difference. The link here connects you to the pictures of them when they came home. Below are the after pictures!

I love this picture, it shows that they actually had a lot of hair.

They actually had more then this when they were born.
