Funny Kids!

As many of you know, Hyrum loves the missionaries. If you ask him what he wants to be when he gets older he will tell you, a missionary. He loves it when they come over for dinner or just to say hi or even when we see them at church. With Brandon being the Ward Mission Leader in our ward we are blessed to have a lot of interaction with missionaries.

It makes sense that since Hyrum loves to sing songs at home (not at church during primary mind you) that he would love to sing songs about missionaries at home. He learned I Hope They Call Me on a Mission at preschool and from then on he will walk around singing I hope they call me on a mission (only the first line) over and over. That song is frequently requested for bedtime singing.

Another fun song about missionaries that he likes is Called to Serve. As you might guess he only knows the part of Onward ever Onward and sings that part over and over.

Ben and Emmy still are in love with Hyrum and love to play and do whatever he is doing. The other day, Hyrum was marching around with Brandon's scriptures (one of his favorite toys) singing Onward ever onward over and over. Ben and Emmy were following along behind him trying their best to keep up and sing. Emmy was holding a small size Book of Mormon and Ben was just marching happily along. It was so cute and so funny. Of course, I ran to get my camera, but it was too late.

All three of the kids have blankets that they LOVE and go to sleep with. All three of them will get their blankets out and play silly games together. This picture below is of them all taking a "nap" on the couch with their blankets. They were trying to rectify the fact that they didn't take a nap earlier that day. Too funny.

I think that is just adorable about Hyrum wanting to grow up to be a missionary! What a doll!

That's so cute about Hyrum being obsessed with the missionaries. I'm the chorister for Primary, and I've had several parents of four-year-olds tell me the same thing: they won't sing the songs at Church, but they sing them all of the time at home. I think they just get "stage fright" at Church.
