My Kind Of Shopping Trip

I noticed Emmy walking around today pushing her shopping cart. I had to chuckle to myself when I saw what she put in her little cart; tons of books and her sunglasses. She packed that shopping cart full of books from top to bottom. A shopping cart full of books sounds like a wonderful shopping trip.
She emptied her basket of books in her room and put most of them in her basket and pushed them around the house. When I told her I wanted to take her picture, she went immediately to the fireplace to sit down. Sitting down by the fireplace also made me chuckle, I guess she knows where I like to take pictures. After I took her picture, she pushed her shopping cart to the couch, took out a handful of books and placed them on then couch and then climbed on the couch to read. It was so cute!Of course Ben had to get in on the action; especially since Emmy picked one of our favorite books to read (Dear Zoo).
I am so grateful that she enjoys and wants to read.Take a good look at the outfit she is wearing because a hour or so later she destroyed it. While I was changing a diaper, I heard my dishwasher start and stop. After I finished changing the diaper, I come to find her dumping soft scrub in the dishwasher where the dishwasher soap goes. The soft scrub bleached her clothes as well as my capris I was wearing. At least she was trying to help, right?

If I could have a shopping trip that consisted of that many books I think I'd be in heaven!

And isn't it amazing how they always ruin the nice clothes? They never get bleach on their yucky t-shirts!

That is definitely one of the best kind of shopping trips! Nothing better than a good book! Sorry to hear about the clothes! 2 year olds are just too busy and quick!

This is one of those posts where "Three Little Monkeys" it truly an apt description. I mean for the bleach part. The books part is just adorable.

I love that little shopping cart. That's great that your kids love books so much too. It shows what a good mommy you must be.

I had no idea soft scrub bleached stuff! Sad!! At least you got a picture first.
