Playing in the Rain

It has been raining every day this week since Monday. I went into the other room for a minute and came back to find them out side splashing in the puddles that build up in our back yard after a small amount of rain fall occurs; so you can imagine what a week of "Southern" rain might create. I decided to let them play for awhile. The kids have been cooped up in the house due to having croup again and because of the rain. They were in absolute heaven splashing in the puddles and running in the mud. The pictures are blurry because they didn't want to stop being silly in the rain. Brandon was only able to get a couple of good shots. Besides, playing in the mud and rain is a part of growing up, right?

What fun. It reminds me of the good ole days. I love that Ben always pulls at the side of his mouth for pictures when he is supposed to smile. It is so cute.

That looks so fun. I remember doing that growing up. I wasn't afraid of lightning back then. I need to let my boys out to play in the water too. It's been raining all week here too.

Rain was like Christmas when we were kids, wasn't it? It seemed like adults didn't like it as much as us kids did and I didn't understand why. Who doesn't like puddles, worms, fun clouds, exciting thunder, and of course rainbows?! Seeing your kids enjoy the rain makes me smile.
