Happy Easter!!

We had such a blast celebrating Easter this year.

On March 15th, the ward did a picnic and Easter egg hunt for the kids. It was supposed to be held at a local park, but due to the weather it was moved to the cultural hall. We had a wonderful picnic. Hyrum loved running around with all the kids.

Hyrum was a pro during the Easter egg hunt. He got tons of eggs! The babies were content to get one egg. They were so happy just to have that one egg in their hands.

The Saturday before Easter the Easter Bunny came to visit.
Hyrum was so excited to see what the Easter Bunny left for him. Hyrum got a goal so he can practice his soccer.Not to mention a basket full of other fun things. Hyrum by his goal with his Little Einstein toothpaste

Ben got some books in his basket. He is a big fan of books. He also got some rubber fish. Ben found some eggs!

Emmy got some hair clips and hair bands in her basket. The first thing Emmy went for was the CHOCOLATE! She quickly grab the pink chocolate bunny and ran as fast as her little legs could carry her. Not to mention, she was laughing the whole time she was running away.Emmy and her chocolate

The next time, she decided that she would try and steal Ben's fish and run away. She didn't get to far. We tried to distract her by showing the princess book she got that has a hair comb in it. She loves combing her hair.

Everyone loved their toothbrush and toothpaste they got from the Easter Bunny. Hyrum got a Little Einstein toothbrush and toothpaste. Ben got a Nemo toothbrush and Emmy got a Little Einstein toothbrush. Emmy and Ben got a toothpaste to share. Everyone also got a plastic egg with a car in it from the Easter Bunny. Also, the kids were given the movie Ratoutille and a cool water toy to share.

After everyone checked out their basket it was time for the Easter Egg hunt. Hyrum was so funny! We was going as fast as he could to get as many eggs as he could. Also, he wouldn't pick up any of the hard boiled eggs we made until the very end. He knew what ones were the good ones.

The babies were content to continue and explore all the Easter Bunny items and let Hyrum do the hard work. After they had officially had their free reign of exploring (no Hyrum there to stop them) they went after the eggs. Once again they each had an egg and since they were slow to start the hunt, Ben ended up with a hard boiled egg. He didn't mind. It still had a taste to it.

A little bit after the Easter Egg hunt, I told Hyrum to open the front door and see what was there. To his delight, he found a basket with the sunglasses he has been wanting for a long time. We have to made a few extra stops in the store by the glasses so he could get a good look at them.

We had such a fun time seeing the kids excitement, curiosity and joy in this year's family Easter egg hunt.
