Well, it is official, I am a true soccer mom. Hyrum is on a little soccer team called the Shockers. His coach is a person in our ward and half of the team is from our ward. He had his first practice on last Thursday. At first, he was a little hesitant when he first arrived at the practice. The people he knew who were on the team weren't at the practice when he arrived. However, when the team started kicking the ball around a little bit, Hyrum decided that soccer wasn't a bad idea.
When soccer practice was over, he didn't want to leave. When he came home, he talked to my family and told them all about his soccer practice and did his soccer team's cheer (1,2,3, Go Shockers!).That night, he didn't want to take his shin guards off when he went to bed. The next day, the first thing he wanted were his shin guards and his soccer cleats back on. Not to mention, he has been packing his soccer ball around every where he goes. If anyone comes to our house, he shows them how he can run real fast and kick his cool soccer ball.
I can't wait to see what happens with the rest of the season. Don't worry, there will be many more pictures to follow and maybe a few video clips.

That is so fun. I have never been a soccer mom. My kids just aren't interested in it much. They would rather play baseball. Anyway, I love those little kids out there kicking the ball around--it is so cute!
I love it! You are officially a soccer mom. That is probably as much fun for you as it is Hyrum-getting to go to the games and cheer on your little boy. Go Shockers!
I love watching little kids play soccor! They are like a swarm of bees that run around the ball. Positions? FORGET IT! :) Can't wait to see the video. SO CUTE! And I love the zoo pics and your decision to get rid of the word verification!
Oh that is so fun! I love seeing those little kids running around on the field, a lot of them seem a little lost, but they are certainly having a good time!
That is adorable! An official soccer mom!! That is so fun for you guys!
I can't believe he's old enough to play soccer! I love it! Have fun being a soccer mom!
That is so cute! It is bitter sweet watching them grow and develop their own interests.Bitter bc they aren't babies and sweet, well just because.... It is great to see them proud of themselves and discovering new things. Good job.
This is nuts....time is flying! I remember him in your tummy.
I told Stace about it and he said: "We saw that kid being born!"
Where has time gone?
I love soccer! I'm excited to be a soccer mom. They are so cute to watch at Hyrum's age.
